1. Scope
This statement applies to the Daily Digest Capsule iOS application and its related services, including daily capsule delivery, optional content modules, advertising, and in-app purchases. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described below.
2. Data We Collect
We minimize data collection and prioritize on-device processing. The App uses the following information:
- Locally stored settings: Capsule cache, module toggles, notification schedule, language preference, appearance mode, ad-removal status, and optional birthday or zodiac sign. These values remain on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
- Notification authorization state: Used to determine whether we can send daily reminders. No notification content is logged or uploaded.
- Crash and performance diagnostics (optional): If we integrate Firebase Crashlytics or Analytics in a future release, anonymized data will be collected strictly to improve stability. We will request your consent before enabling these services.
- Third-party service data: See Section 5 for details. We do not receive the raw data collected by these providers.
The App does not request or store sensitive identifiers such as contacts, photos, precise location, or other data unrelated to the daily capsule experience.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Display cached capsules when offline or on a weak network.
- Deliver daily push notifications at your chosen time.
- Remember your module preferences and language settings.
- Determine whether to show advertisements or honor ad-free access.
- Improve performance and reliability based on anonymous aggregate insights.
We never sell, rent, or lend your personal data. Information is used solely to operate and enhance Daily Digest Capsule.
4. Storage & Security
- Capsule cache expires automatically at midnight (local time) and is overwritten by the next day’s data.
- User preferences rely on iOS-secured storage mechanisms such as UserDefaults and Keychain.
- We do not maintain remote databases that store your personal information.
- Any future cloud features will prompt for explicit consent and provide detailed disclosure.
5. Third-Party Services
The App currently integrates, or plans to integrate, the services below:
- ViewBits API Platform: Supplies quotes, history events, news, horoscope, jokes, and other content. Requests are stateless and do not carry personally identifiable information.
- Google AdMob (optional): Serves the App Open Ad and banner placements. AdMob may collect device identifiers in accordance with its privacy policy. You can limit tracking through system settings or unlock the ad-free upgrade.
- Apple StoreKit: Handles the “Remove Ads” in-app purchase. Payment data is processed and stored by Apple; we do not retain receipts beyond Apple’s standard APIs.
- Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics (planned): If adopted, these tools will gather anonymous aggregated metrics. We will announce the rollout in-app and provide an opt-out mechanism where applicable.

6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access and update: Adjust notification time, module toggles, and language preferences directly within the App.
- Withdraw consent: Disable notifications or ad tracking in iOS settings, or delete the App to remove all locally stored data.
- Data deletion: Uninstalling the App erases cached capsules and settings. Fresh defaults apply on reinstallation.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is designed for adults. Users under the age of 14 should only access the App with guardian approval. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if such data is identified, we will remove it promptly.
8. Policy Updates
We may revise this statement as our features evolve or regulations change. Significant updates will be highlighted in-app along with an effective date. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
